Acceptance conditions

What is not accepted and must always be avoided as much as possible:
  • car bumpers (because they always have metal parts), dashboards.
  • multilayer beverage packaging (brick).
  • aluminium foil, silver paper, aluminium dishes and plates, metallised film.
  • textile, rags, cloth, carpets, floor covering ...
  • shoes, boots, ...
  • rubber (inner tube or tyre of a bicycle).
  • metal packaging (tins, aerosol cans, ...)
  • paper, cardboard, ...stone, glass, wood, sand.
  • organic contamination
  • pampers, diapers
  • brown goods and white goods (computer, printer, television, refrigerator, etc.)

The 'Sorting help' page features photos of unwanted waste.

THE WASTE DELIVERED TO US MUST NOT INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING PLASTICS:

  • textile plastics: various woven materials such as big bags, backpacks, school bags, tents, tarpaulins, nets, …
  • ropes and straps
  • magnetic tapes of video and audio cassettes
  • CDs , DVDs, …
  • garden hoses, swimming pools, air mattresses, ...
  • glass fibre-reinforced plastics (corrugated sheets,...)
  • straw bale packaging (covers and nets)

In order to be able to inspect the waste, both at the container park and at EKOL, it is desirable that it be brought in "loose", i.e. emptied from the (grey) bag. This bag can then be re-used.

In case of any doubts as to whether your waste is plastic waste, please leave it with the residual waste. Any waste sorted incorrectly will result in unnecessary costs for the municipality, i.e. for you.
